The small W.M.S. Blue Booklets ARE READY! They are for everyone who wishes to get in touch with people who are Duff’s friends. Please help yourselves!! The MS meetings and acitivities: **The WMS is actively engaged in knitting sweaters & caps for newborns. The sweaters & caps are sent to Jobat hospital in India twice a year. Three years ago, 2 doctors from Jobat India came to Duff’s to explain & show slides about their hospitals, pregnancy programs and not only care for newborns, & new moms but also teaching families how to care for and feed the family. They also explained the difference that our help makes!**
Wed. Sept. 19: 10 am Packing of knitting for the premature babies (little ones in India)will be Held at Eden Mills Pres. Church.- ALL Welcome to help!!
Thurs. Oct. 4: 10:30 am at Duff’s . All are Welcome to our Thanksgiving Meeting!! Pat Ganning will be leading the meeting and Joan Law will serve the refreshments.
Mon. Oct. 15 is W.M.S. Fall Rally at St. Andrew’s Church in Arthur 10 am: Executive Meeting, 1 pm Fall Rally- ALL welcome!! The refreshments today will be prepared by the ladies from St. Andrew’s Kitchener.
Teddy Bears: We have received 350 knitted Teddy Bears since our Teddy Bear Tea, Oct.28, 2017 and last week, Jan. 31, 2018, 2 more large boxes were delivered to Duff’s…….Hurrah!! We are soooo thankful to have more bears for PEOPLE to take on their missions!! Pat and I are so excited and the bears are soooo cute & cuddly!! WAY to GO Ladies!! Thank you, thank you!!
Volunteers are also Knitting….”Knitted Knockers” for women who have undergone masectomies. These items are special, handmade breast prostheses. The pattern is available from Duff’s.
The WMS or Women’s Missionary Society at Duff’s is a very active group in our church and the church community!!
**We are collecting clean milk bags for Alice McNeish to crochet into sleeping mats. She loves to do this project.
**We are collecting: postage stamps to help people beat Leprosy”.
** We are collecting used eyeglasses or sun glasses for needy people in 3rd world countries.**
